Illegal Buildings

Attacking or raiding illegal buildings will never cause any reputation loss.

Slave Camp & Drug Station

Slave Camp
Drug Station
Slave Camps and Drug Stations act like most legal buildings, i.e. they need upkeep and produce certain commodities, but they also bring certain reputation penalties. [REF:Reputation]

Maintaining a Slave Camp in neutral territory decreases all reputations by 15 points daily. Maintaining a Slave Camp in faction territory decreases all reputations by 15 points daily, and the respective factions's rep value by additional 15 points (so, a hit of 30 points for that faction, 15 for the other two factions).

Maintaining a Drug Station in neutral territory decreases all reputations by 25 points daily. Maintaining a Drug Station in faction territory decreases all reputations by 25 points daily, and the respective factions's rep value by additional 25 points (so, a hit of 50 points for that faction, 25 for the other two factions).

Dark Dome

Dark DomeDark Domes can only be built in faction territory. They produce the type of body parts matching the one which is produced in dark corners in the same cluster. [MECH:Black Market & Dark Corner]

Rep penalties are the same as for Drug Stations.

Other Buildings

Military Outpost

Military OutpostMilitary Outposts (MOs) are used mainly by alliances to protect sectors from foes or to collect tolls from passing ships. Due to the importance of MOs there is a dedicated section about them in the manual. [MECH:Military Outposts]

Trade Outpost

Trade OutpostTrade Outposts (TOs) are able to store all possible commodity types and trade them. Besides a higher storage space than in other buildings and lower upgrade costs for capacity, TOs can be upgraded to player-owned starbases when certain requirements are met. [MECH:Starbase Construction]

Alliance Command Station

Alliance Command StationA player who builds an Alliance Command Station (ACS) bestows an important feature on his/her alliance mates: being almost instantly informed in alliance chat about attacks on any alliance building or starbase taking place inside the same cluster. More than one ACS may be built in the same cluster, but only one is neccessary to enable use of its features.
ACS built by players not in an alliance have no function; it is however possible to e.g. leave an alliance, join another one and use the same ACS there - the ACS will always be used for the owner's current alliance. An ACS does not produce anything, but needs a constant upkeep of energy and radioactive cells to work.
Every building or starbase attack is logged in the ACS Log under Diplomacy. ACS log entries about attacks on MOs are highlighted in blue color, attacks on starbases in red color. They include the building type or starbase, its owner and sector/coordinates, and the attacker's name. If there are additional modules installed on the Allliance Command Station [REF:Defense Modules] then it will also log attacks on alliance ships (including ambushes), timebomb triggers (be it timebombs placed by or triggered by members of the alliance), and military outpost bypasses. Every minute, a notification is displayed in the respective alliance chat if new entries were added to the log.

Attackers are able to suppress ACS log entries of attacks on buildings and ships from being added with interferometers, available to Union pilots and in hidden places. [REF:Equipment]
