Allianz Territorium

English
Every alliance exerts influence onto sectors in which it owns buildings. The alliance that has most influence in a sector has Dominance there. Dominance over sectors gives an alliance the ability to retreat onto otherwise unavailable fields as well as certain bonus effects if there is a planet or NPC starbase there and some minimum requirements are met.

Influence and Dominance

The influence the various alliances have in a sector is determined by influence points (IPs).
This influence is calculated once a day for every sector and alliance.
Each producing building (excluding starbases) that was supplied at its last production tick is worth its production level in IPs.
At least 30 Influence points are necessary to attain Dominance over a sector. If more than one alliance has 30 or more IPs, the one with most IPs has Dominance. If two are tied, none has Dominance. In the Pegasus universe the necessary minimum Influence points are halved.

Bonuses for Dominance

Members of an alliance that has Dominance in a sector can use ambush retreat onto protected fields.
[MECH:Raub & Ambush]

An alliance is recognized to have dominance over a sector when jumping into the sector (unless wormhole damage is taken; any status message overrides the sector welcome). The "Check Position & Protection" function on the Nav screen gives information about the dominant alliance. All planets and starbases display a ranking of the most influential alliances.

There are also bonuses for combat or trading that can be unlocked. For this, the following requirements must be met:
  • There has to be a planet or NPC starbase in the sector.
  • That planet or NPC starbase has to be above a defined minimum population (which means someone has to actually trade with it; for the values see the table below).
  • Members of the alliance that want the bonus must install a type of equipment, an Alliance Combat Uplink or an Alliance Trade Uplink. Only one kind can be installed at a time.

Which bonus an alliance gets depends on the type of the NPC bases (planet or NPC starbase) that is in the sector. Each gives two unique types of bonus, depending on which computer is installed on the ship.
Each bonus varies in strength. The first factor that determines this strength is how many different NPC bases are in sectors dominated by the alliance, i.e. the Diversity of its influence. Note: For the purpose of Diversity, class A and M planets count as one type.
The second factor that determines the strength is whether the pilot uses any sort of faction ship/equipment or not.
  • Alliance Combat Uplink: Can be installed on any type of ship. It activates the combat bonuses for the alliance at the lower strength for pilots with faction ship or any faction equipment, at the higher strength for those without.
  • Alliance Trade Uplink: Can be installed on any ship classified as trade ship (having a class of 3 credit icons or more, see [REF:Schiffe]). It activates the trade bonuses for the alliance at the lower strength for pilots with faction ship or any faction equipment, at the higher strength for those without.

[REF:Equipment]

A ship requires some time to recover after uninstalling an alliance uplink. It is ready to adapt to a new uplink after one day.

This table shows the types of bonuses to be unlocked. The basic strength is multiplied by the diversity of influence. In the Pegasus universe the required minimum population is halved.

Statistics

A detailed map of the universe showing all dominated sectors as well as the changes since the last calculation is available in the Statistics tab under Alliance Territory. When you hover the mouse over the name of the alliance, its dominated sectors are highlighted. When you hover the mouse over a sector, you will see which NPC bases it contains and which alliance dominates the sector. If there is a red X covering an NPC base it indicates that the minimum amount of workers was not met for this type of base, and as such does not count when calculating diversity.

Alliance Territory Map and Stats

The changes in dominance are also visible in the News section. [MECH:GNN & Special Events]
Every alliance page has a list of the sectors it dominates.

Examples

Example 1: Dominance - Sector Begreze
Sue owns a Smelter with production level 10. She is in alliance A.
Ann owns a Smelter with production level 7. She is in alliance A.
Pete owns a Space Farm with production level 7. He is in alliance B.
Catherine owns a Space Farm with producation level 11. She is in alliance B.
Roger owns a Robot Factory with production level 10. He is in alliance B.
Hans owns an Optics lab with production level 6. He is in alliance B.
Pete owns a Brewery with production level 4. He is in alliance B.
Eve owns a Droid Factory with production level 13. He is in alliance B.

If all buildings are supplied, alliance A has 17 influence points, alliance B has 51 influence points. Alliance B has most points and enough points to dominate the sector (>30). However, Begreze does not contain a planet or NPC starbase, so there is no bonus except the right to use ambush retreat onto wormholes.

Example 2: Diversity
Alliance C dominates the sectors Olphize and Tiacken. Olphize contains an M-class planet, Tiacken contains an I-class planet and an R-class planet.
The diversity of the alliance is therefore 3.

The alliance gets the following bonuses:
From Olphize: A boost in weaponry of 4.5/9 points (non-neutrals / neutrals), a boost in ATP-generation of 12%/24%.
From Tiacken I: A boost in tactics of 4.5/9 points (non-neutrals / neutrals), a production boost for Space Farms and Neural Laboratories of 3/12, 3/8.
From Tiacken II: A boost in hit accuracy of 4.5/9 points (non-neutrals / neutrals), a production boost for Smelting and Electronics Facilities of 3/12, 3/8.
